Unshaken

Psalm 62:6 — “Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”

When Life Trembles

Storms of life have a way of shaking us—financial struggles, broken relationships, health battles, or unexpected loss. Our natural response is to feel unstable, like the ground beneath us is giving way. But David reminds us in Psalm 62 that when God is our rock and fortress, we can remain unshaken, even when everything else trembles.

Our stability doesn’t come from our circumstances—it comes from our Savior.

The Fortress That Holds

A fortress is a place of security, strength, and protection. David knew what it meant to run for his life, but he also knew the safety of God’s presence. When we make Him our fortress, we find strength that enemies cannot penetrate and peace the world cannot take away.

To live unshaken is not to avoid storms—it’s to be secured by the One who commands them.

Standing on the Rock

Every other foundation eventually crumbles. Wealth, status, and self-reliance all prove fragile when tested. But Christ, the Rock, endures forever. When our lives are built on Him, we can withstand trials, resist fear, and remain steady when the world shakes.

To stand unshaken is to stand on Christ alone.

This Week’s Challenge

Each morning this week, declare Psalm 62:6 aloud: “He is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” Let it set the tone for your day.

A Prayer for Steadfastness

Lord, You are my rock and my fortress. When life shakes around me, keep me steady in Your strength and unshaken in my faith. Amen.
