The King’s Servants

Matthew 25:21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”

The Honor of Serving

In a world that prizes recognition and power, Jesus calls us to a different standard: servanthood. The greatest in His Kingdom are not those who sit in high places but those who kneel to serve. And the greatest reward is not applause from people, but hearing the Master say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Serving the King is not a burden - it’s an honor.

Faithful in the Small Things

Notice the master’s words in Matthew 25. He celebrates faithfulness with a few things. The servant didn’t change the world in a single act - he stewarded what was entrusted to him. God doesn’t measure success the way the world does. He measures faithfulness.

When we are faithful with small opportunities - an encouraging word, a quiet prayer, an unseen act of kindness - God sees. And He delights to entrust us with more.

Sharing the Master’s Joy

Servanthood isn’t about earning favor - it’s about sharing the heart of the King. True joy is found not in being served, but in serving others for His sake. Every act of service, no matter how hidden, is worship. Every sacrifice made for His glory is treasure stored in heaven.

On the day we stand before Christ, the world’s applause won’t matter. What will matter is hearing Him say, “Well done.”

This Week’s Challenge

Find one simple way to serve someone this week - a family member, a co-worker, a neighbor. Do it not for recognition, but as an offering to your King.

A Prayer for Faithfulness

Lord, help me serve with joy. Teach me to be faithful in the small things and to live for the reward of hearing You say, “Well done.” Amen.
